Adult BJJ Program FAQs

No you don't need any prior training. Our 6-week foundations course is specially designed for people new to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can definitely help you burn calories and fat. If you combine the physical activity of BJJ with a positive change in diet you should definitely see results!

We can never promise that anyone can defend themselves, however we can help provide you with tools to make it more likely that you can defend yourself better then before you started training.

No. Everyone of all ages can start to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. You'll be able to go through your own pace and you are never forced to do more than you can handle!

As a student of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, you will need to wear a Gi for the Gi specific classes and No-Gi gear for the No-Gi specific classes. 

We never force anyone to spar in class. As a beginner with our 6-week foundations course you will go through a systemized step by step process to help you work your way up to more resistance training.

There is absolutely no experience or fitness background required for starting Jiu-Jitsu with us. We at Revel Jiu Jitsu are firm believers that you do not need to be in shape, to get in shape. Everyone has his or her own starting point, and we all know the hardest part is getting started. Our 6-week foundations program specially designed to help you get acclimated!

Jiu-Jitsu training is a great way of getting in shape without getting bored by the same daily workout or routine. By using every part of the body while training, Jiu-Jitsu practitioners tend to lose weight, get lean and gain muscle. When at the gym, you basically work out one or two body parts at a time. Training Jiu-Jitsu will work all parts of the body, enhance flexibility, and increase cardiovascular endurance.
